Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Sales Monsters collects on salesmonsters.com, what we do with it, and the choices you have. We wrote it in plain English on purpose.
1. Who we are
Sales Monsters Inc. ("Sales Monsters," "we," "us," or "our") is a marketing agency based in Los Angeles, California. This policy covers our public website at salesmonsters.com (the "Site"). Our client work platform, SEOMonster at salesmonsters.net, has its own privacy policy.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
When you fill out our contact form, book a call, or email us, we collect what you provide: typically your name, work email address, company name, website, phone number if you include it, and whatever you tell us about your business and goals. You decide what to share. We only ask for what we need to reply to you.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site, we and our service providers record standard web analytics: the pages you view, how you got here, the approximate location derived from your IP address, your browser and device type, and how you interact with the page. We use this to understand what on the Site works and what does not.
Cookies and similar technologies
The Site uses a small number of cookies and browser storage entries. Analytics cookies from Google Analytics help us count visits and understand behavior. Functional storage remembers interface preferences, such as whether you dismissed a notice. If we run advertising, we may use pixels from platforms such as Google, Meta, LinkedIn or Reddit to measure whether our own ads brought you here and to show relevant ads on those platforms. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings; the Site still works without them.
3. How we use information
- To reply to your inquiry and, if you ask us to, to prepare a proposal or start an engagement.
- To send you follow-up email about the topic you contacted us about. You can opt out at any time.
- To operate, secure and improve the Site, including fixing errors and understanding which pages are useful.
- To measure our own marketing, so we know which channels bring the businesses we can help.
- To comply with the law and enforce our agreements.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share it with data brokers.
4. Who we share information with
We share information only with the service providers that help us run the Site and our business, and when the law requires it. Our current categories of providers are:
- Forms and scheduling: Jotform, which hosts our contact form and stores what you submit.
- Customer relationship management and email: HubSpot, where we keep records of the businesses we talk to and send email.
- Analytics and advertising measurement: Google Analytics, and the advertising platforms named above when we run campaigns.
- Hosting and infrastructure: Vercel, which hosts the Site and keeps standard server logs for a limited period.
- Business tools: Google Workspace, Airtable and Slack, which we use internally to manage our work.
Each provider is bound by its own privacy terms and only receives the information needed to do its job. If we sell or merge the business, information may transfer to the new owner under this same policy.
5. How long we keep information
We keep contact form submissions and email correspondence for as long as we have a business reason to, which is usually the length of the conversation or engagement plus a reasonable period afterward. Analytics data is kept according to the retention settings of the analytics provider, currently fourteen months. You can ask us to delete your information at any time; see section 7.
6. Security
We use reputable providers, encrypted connections, and access controls to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security, but we take it seriously and we will tell you if a breach affects your information.
7. Your choices and rights
- Email: every marketing email we send has an unsubscribe link. You can also reply and ask us to stop.
- Cookies: block or clear them in your browser. Google also offers a browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics.
- Access, correction and deletion: email us and we will tell you what we hold about you, fix it, or delete it, subject to any records we must keep by law.
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use and share it, the right to delete it, the right to correct it, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have similar rights under the GDPR, including the right to object to processing and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in section 10.
8. Children
The Site is a business website intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Site or the law changes. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top. Material changes will be noted on this page for a reasonable period.
10. Contact
